There are plenty of things people say about Rolex and their range of watches… regardless of your own personal thoughts, all watch enthusiasts agree Rolex must be doing something right – be that their marketing or their actual watch making.
In our opinion there are not many watches which have as timeless a look as the Yacht-Master.. The silver and grey tones match any outfit and the polished mid-links of the bracelet make it dressy enough that it fits the bill in business meetings, as well as down the beach at the weekend.
The main issue comes when we look at the price tag – not many people have got £10,000 spare for a pre-owned one and that’s where we can help!
Not An Homage
There are plenty of homage companies out there who can sell you a Yacht-Master look-a-like for a fraction of the price, hell, if you look hard enough you can find pretty convincing replicas online for around 5-10% of the price of a real one – but that’s not what we want.
We want to take style points from Rolex’s design and give it its own personality – something that is definitely NOT a Yacht-Master but shares some of the design DNA… introducing the Fifty Five Fathoms Yacht-Master.
Utilising the stunning Modern Brilliant Silver Fifty Five Fathoms dial from Dagaz, we’ve paired it with MarineMaster style hands with red detail giving this mod it’s own unique look while maintaining the Yacht-Master feel.
Coming in at around £400, this watch could be yours for around 4% the price of a Yacht-Master – what a bargain!

What else do you need?
Unfortunately we don’t have every single thing you need for this mod – mainly because it wouldn’t be cost effective for you!
In addition to the mod parts above, you’ll also need an SII NH35 or SII NH36 movement and a Strapcode 22mm Super Oyster Brushed & Polished 316L SS Watch Band – head over to eBay and Amazon for those, respectively.
